Hindi Poem Recitation Competition (Std. I - IV)

Delhi Public School

September 14th is celebrated as the Hindi diwas all over the country. On this day the constituent assembly of India adopted Hindi as its official language, therefore this day is celebrated as the Hindi diwas each year since 1950. Many schools, colleges and offices celebrate this day with great enthusiasm. On 17th September, Hindi poem recitation competition was held in our school for classes I to IV. The main idea behind this was to propagate the Hindi language and its cultural heritage as well as values and also to make the students more confident and creative. Many children took part but only 3 were selected from each class in the semifinal round. The students unfolded the use of the language through Hindi poem recitation. They recited the poems with expressions and correct pronunciations. In the end our School Manager Sr. Elita appreciated the participants for their hard work and dedication and she also encouraged other children to participate. Three winners from each grades were selected by the judges. The winners received appreciation certificates for their performances. In this way the Hindi poem recitation competition was conducted successfully.
