Speaking on an object competition

The speaking on an object competition was conducted by Carmel Convent High School Kalamboli at 8.00 am on Friday, 20th January'23 in the third floor hall. The competition was organised for classes II to IV. Around 50 students participated in this event. The topic of the competition for grade 2nd was classroom objects, for grade 3rd was sports equipment and for grade 4 th was means of communication The main objective of the competition was to develop self confidence in students and enable them to speak on any object of their choice without stage fear. The judges evaluated the performance of the participants based on the six criterion such as 1. Self introduction and appearance 2. Introduction about the topic 3. Chain of thought 4. Clarity in speech 5. Voice modulation 6. Fluency The students spoke about the different objects very well. The effort and hard work of the children were highly appreciable. The competition proved to be a great learning experience for the students and gave them a platform to explore their hidden talents.
