An inter house G.K. quiz competition was conducted by Carmel Convent High School, Kalamboli on Friday, 10th February, 2023 for grade I to IV. The competition was held separately for grade I and II and grade III and IV. The event was conducted by the school’s quiz incharge teachers to encourage students to gain general knowledge, apart from the subject knowledge. There were four teams representing each squad viz. Preeti suqad(Red), Pragati Squad (Blue), Asha squad (Green) and Vidhya squad (yellow) with 6 members in each team. Around 48 students participated in this event.
The event was attended by the teachers and the students of classes I to IV respectively. The quiz competition was conducted in 4 rounds-Choose me, Buzzer round, Spin win and Current affairs. The winner of the competition for I and II was Pragati Squad (Blue) with 60 points and second position was secured by green squad with 50 points and from grade III and IV the winners of the competition was Pragati Squad (Blue) with 65 points and Asha squad (Green) with 50 points.
The event was concluded by asking GK questions to the audience, those who responded first with correct answers were rewarded and also the importance of general knowledge and mental ability questions were shared with the students. The students enjoyed and gained knowledge through this event.
