In a burst of sporting fever, Carmel Convent High School recently organized a series of Inter-Squad Tournaments encompassing cricket, basketball, throwball, and volleyball on 6th January 2024. The dynamic events brought together students from different grades and squads, forming diverse teams that competed with zeal and enthusiasm. The volleyball and throwball tournaments were a display of powerful serves, timely blocks, and spectacular spikes. The basketball court transformed into a stage for fast-paced action as teams dribbled, passed, and shot their way to victory. Students displayed their cricketing prowess while fostering teamwork and camaraderie, creating a thrilling atmosphere on the field during the cricket tournament.
The basketball, volleyball and throwball matches were organized for both boys and girls. The cricket tournament was held only between boys. Many squads won numerous prizes and trophies for their team with their excellent talent, teamwork, enthusiasm, sportsmanship and love and respect for the games. Awards were presented not only for victories but also for sportsmanship, teamwork, and individual performances, acknowledging the diverse skills showcased across the different sports. The Inter-Squad Tournaments in cricket, basketball, throwball, and volleyball exemplified the school's commitment to holistic development through sports. Beyond the competition, these events fostered a sense of unity, healthy competition, and sportsmanship among the student body.
