Carmel Convent High School celebrated Hindi Diwas on 14th September 2022. The first Hindi Diwas was celebrated on September 14, 1953 after then our first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru decided to commemorate this day as Hindi Diwas. On September 14, 1949, the Constituent Assembly accepted ‘Hindi’ in the Devnagri script as the official language of India. The main objective of celebrating Hindi Diwas is to promote the language. Our school also had arranged several events like Kavya Pathan Pratiyogita (Competition) for grades 1st to 10th. The program began with a Prayer Service followed by a Prayer Song and a Prayer dance. The program also included Speeches, skits, comedy Skit and dance. Hindi Diwas is celebrated to create awareness for this rich language and to promote its use in the country.
